Busy, Busy, Busy :\

Finally! A post!

So how's everyone doing? I think most of us have been pretty busy with school lately and haven't been catching up with our list of songs to do, which is pretty much the case for me at the moment. *is currently at school blogging* xD

Things I have to do at the moment for school:

- Liberal Studies: Project Proposal (this project accounts for 20% of my grade in the A-Levels which I will be taking next year) and a Weekly Assignment (watch a show about Hong Kong politics and finish a table stating all the stakeholders and their standpoints + how reliable they are)

- English Literature: Some form of creative writing (also for my A-Level grade), while also analyzing poems, movies and books in class.

- History: A crapload of research on 19th century Europe AND China.

- English: Daily news journal to be done at school handed in before the end of school and an online assignment twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Other than all of that, I also have to do mixing for VocaMania in the Chorus Battle while also keeping in mind the things I want to do for myself on my channel as well. I've really been tired lately and I'm technically still not over some of the drama that has happened during the Chorus Battle.

I'm a bit glad I quit the moderating team on YTChorus. It means that I won't have to do some other extra work. I really can't wait until the Chorus Battle ends, because then I won't have much work anymore. I'll probably take in more mixing requests~
I've already received about 3 requests so far and I'm really sorry for not being able to do them due to the Chorus Battle. orz

I have a few previews of stuff I'm doing at the moment, so feel free to check them out!

Corruption Garden English

Scissorhands English

Neko Neko Super Fever Night

Well, that's it for now. I have to spend the rest of my free period doing some of my school work.

Bye for now~

This and That

Wow! It's just been one week of school and already I'm being busy with studying. xD
Sorry for not updating as often as before. I actually had a 5 month summer break, so I pretty much spammed everyone with updates, dubs, posts and etc. within that time period. I used to update my channel once a week.

However, now that I'm going to a new school where the expectations from students are much, much, much, much, much, much, much higher. I have to take my studies really, really, really, really seriously (I'm taking new subjects too!!). To add to that is the fact that my new school is further than that of my old one. This means that I have to leave my house earlier in the morning due to the traveling time and I also get home later as school ends later too.

This pretty much means that all of my Internet activities will be slowing down. I most probably won't be able to update as often as before on really busy weeks, but I'll try my best to do something once in a while. :3

It's pretty much the case for everyone else too though, right?
I've seen a lot of people go on hiatus recently. Haha.

BTW the Rillakuma doll in the picture shall be my new mascot. 8D
I named hime "Clover" because he's holding a clover in his right hand.

In other news, I tried making a home-made stylus for our iPad the other day. I bought the SketchbookPro application for it so I could draw, but it really didn't feel right doing it with my fingers. Actually buying a stylus for the iPad is pretty expensive too when you can actually make one yourself.

What makes it harder to make a stylus for the iPad is the screen itself. It's not like some of the screens we have on our mobile phones where pressure is needed for commands to be made. On Apple screens, they use the static from your finger to determine where you're tapping.

I'm still trying to figure out how to make really good ones even though I've successfully made one that actually worked. I am such a bored person. xD

Well, this is it for now

Guilt and Innocence

August 23, 2010

You've probably heard or read it on the news, watched it on Youtube and seen many people talk about it. In the Philippine capital of Manila, ex-cop Rolando Mendoza decided to take a bus full of Hong Kong tourists hostage to demand for his job back. The conclusion? The guy was shot by a sniper in the head but he left 8 dead, 7 injured, 2 in critical condition in the hospital but thankfully 9 got out alive, if I read correctly from the different news articles.

I'm sorry, but today, I shall be writing quite seriously.

Right now, I can officially say that I'm having a hard time saying that I am proud to be Filipino. As a Hong-Kong born one, this tragedy is affecting me very deeply. People from the two places I call home have collided within Philippine soil and we know that it didn't end so well.

I am having a mixture of emotions: Anger, frustration, sadness, worry and disappointment.

Mr. Mendoza did a terribly stupid thing. How could he ever think that he could get his job back by taking people hostage? Doesn't that completely override his original purpose? I doubt that he would get what he wanted even if he let all the hostages go and didn't get himself shot in the head. Seriously. Doesn't he know that hostage situations don't usually end well? It's either you go to jail or you die in the process when you hold hostages. It doesn't improve his situation. I understand that he was frustrated, but taking the lives of innocent tourists was completely irrelevant.

Geez, thanks for showing the whole world your selfishness. Now, you've just possibly made the Chinese people hate Filipinos. Not only will you be disliked and hated by the whole world, you'll also be hated by your fellow nationals. Wrong move, genius. And to think that you were one of the best police in the force. I'm disappointed.

On the actions of the Philippine S.W.A.T., I am sorry to say that they were all pussies. Yes, I just used a word I don't usually use but really, that's the only thing I can describe them as. I don't think they had any experience in situations like these, so I kind of understand their actions, but not everything can be blamed on them.

Ever since the reign of Ferdinand Marcos, the Philippines, which was known as one of the leading Asian countries in the past, has ever been spiralling downwards with corruption and debts that couldn't be repaid. The country has been struggling in terms of money and apparently, even important departments aren't getting the funding needed. With this said, the S.W.A.T. probably didn't get the proper training needed for such an intense situation (though I cannot confirm this), which is a shame because they spent so much time surrounding the bus and doing nothing.

More lives were lost because of this.

They didn't need to die.

They just wanted to have a good time before Summer ended.
Before they would be back home facing their everyday worries.

Then something like this happened and their lives have been permanently put to a halt.

All because of missed action...

How did we fall so low?

For me, I blame the whole system, but I hope our new president Aquino can bring some major changes into our country that is slowly falling apart. I believe the Filipino people have great potential. Many people know this as well. It's just that with all the negative things that have been happening, people are losing hope in themselves and their country, causing them to look for ways to get out of what was supposed to be their home.

People in Hong Kong are already kind of racist towards Filipinos, thinking that all of us who live here are all domestic helpers, maids or servers in restaurants and bars, even though there are a lot of us who are actually professionals with actual office jobs. Now... after this, some will probably think of us as terrorists.
We're still unsure how some of them will act towards us now. Let's just hope they don't go berserk or anything.

Hong Kong and the Philippines are both places I've grown up to love. I've been born and raised in both worlds. I might be overreacting a bit... but it breaks my heart to see that both of my worlds have collided like this.

Poster Hunting

2010-08-22 15:03

So I noticed that the wall in my room was looking kind of bare the other day.
I then decided to go look around for some posters I could possibly put up to add some color to my room.

I recently bought the Megami magazine that came with the Black Rock Shooter DVD, and since it had a few posters in it, I decided to check some of them out. Little did I know that all of them would be girls in bikinis or suggestive poses. =w=;;

Now it's time for some fanservice...

Well, I guess this would've been okay to put this up. It's actually pretty cute. xD
(Mio looks really hot in a bikini... ;w; *shot*)

Big breasted ladies + loli... I wonder what visitors would think if they saw this poster up in my room...

This was a pointless looking one. They're cute... but not as cute as the K-ON! girls. Their pajamas aren't even that good-looking. I basically didn't even really think of putting this up. xD

Railgunnnn~ 8D

Now, this definitely cannot be posted in my room... 8DD;;
My parents would have to question my sexuality. LOL.

Same case for this one. =w=;;

All in all... Megami Magazine posters = not healthy choice for my wall.

I did manage to find some of my old posters, in the mess that's called my room.

Konata x Kagami forever \o/

I remember I bought this from my cousin about 5 years ago, thinking that I'd give it to my sister, but she never used it. Too bad it's a bit too big for my wall. I like unrolling it and just staring at it though. Rurouni Kenshin forever! \o/

My wall is still bare at the moment ... orz

Sorry, I haven't been so active these past 2 weeks. I had to finish Romeo and Cinderella, help out with YTChorus festival stuff, organize my Chorus Battle group and (try to) do lines for IKPopCovers as well. Besides all of that online stuff, I've also been dealing with other stuff as well.

Tomorrow, I'll be meeting my new classmates at my new school. We're having an overnight camp at school and I'm slightly afraid of what they'll think of me. The school normally doesn't accept new students at my grade, so I'm probably one of the first if not the first to do so. I'm kind of worried that I won't be able to understand them away from lessons, so I don't know about my chances of making new friends there. I'm probably worrying too much but I really hope I meet someone nice who will be willing to help me out. I really don't like feeling left out. ;w;

With that said, I'll be gone for about 2 days. I have to be at school early tomorrow and apparently, we end at 9 pm on Friday, so I won't be online for those two days. o_o;;

I owe so many lines. I'm so sorry. orz
I hope I can finish them next week.
